Criteria for students of K5-12th grade:
- Students who are at or above grade level in a core subject area
- For high school students, a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Standardized test or FSA (Florida Statewide Assessments) scores in average to above-average range
- Positive reference (both academic and behavioral) from your current school
- Parents are committed to partnering with Berean Christian School in their child’s education and development.
Berean Christian School Admissions Process
WAIT POOL POLICY
Berean Christian School operates on a wait pool system for all applications submitted. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee a space. A spot will not be held until you receive an acceptance letter.
Applications for the 2026-2027 wait pool will open to the public on December 1st. Your application will undergo an initial review by our admissions committee, and those selected will be contacted to schedule admissions testing and family interviews with the principal or dean. If your application is not chosen in the first round, it will be returned to the wait pool.
Once the testing and interview process has been completed, all applications will undergo a final review by the admissions committee, and decision letters will be mailed on February 6, 2026.
STEP 1 - Submit a Complete Application
The following are required for your application to be reviewed:
- Completed online application.
- $25.00 non-refundable application fee (paid online)
- Current year’s report card and transcript (transcript for 9th-12th grade)
- Previous 2 years’ report cards
- Previous 2 years’ standardized test scores
- IEP, 504, Psycho-Ed Evaluation, Academic and/or Behavior Plan (if applicable)
- Copy of child's birth certificate
- Reference Forms from Math & English teachers and principal (sent via application)
STEP 2 - Application Review
The Admissions Committee will conduct an initial review. You will be notified in writing of your status—either invited to test or remaining in the wait pool.
STEP 3 - Admissions Testing
Testing is required for Kindergarten-12th grade students and will be scheduled upon an invitation from the Admissions Department.
- $75 testing fee (cash, due day of testing)
- $100 testing fee if testing through ASP (cash, due day of testing)
- 24-hour cancellation notice preferred
STEP 4 - Family Interview
Required for all applications:
- K5-6th grade: Interview with Elementary Principal
- 7th-12th grade: Interview with Dean of Students
- Both parents must be present during the interview (unless there are extenuating circumstances).
STEP 5 - Final Admissions Committee Review
All applicants that have been tested and interviewed will be reviewed by our Admissions Committee. Official acceptance (or non-acceptance) will be communicated to all families in writing on February 6, 2026 (for first-round applicants).
STEP 6 - Registration and Enrollment
Once official acceptance has been received, parents must:
- Complete the online enrollment packet
- Pay the $500 non-refundable registration fee
- Attend a New Parent Meeting
- Submit Step Up for Students info (if applicable)
Final enrollment is confirmed via email from the Admissions Office.
