Theatre Classes

 
At Berean Christian School, theatre is an elective opportunity for students in 7th grade to 12th grade. This course provides an overview of some of the many components of Dry and Musical 
 

Theatre Arts: 

  • Pantomime and mime
  • Improvisation
  • Introduction to basic acting skills of interpretation, voice, and movement
  • Familiarization with acting terminology
  • Basic technical aspects of scenic and light design
  • Play writing 

Characterization and blocking will be explored through monologue and scene study (memorization required).  This course seeks to glorify the Lord through the arts as a means of expressing our life with Christ and for Christ.

  13. Musical Performance Art

The theatre department has held multiple seminars led by some of South Florida's greatest acting teachers. In doing so, we have created long-term relationships with local theatre companies and venues to give our students a well-rounded experience.  Taking a theatre course at Berean Christian School will sharpen tools that students will use their entire lives.
