EXCEPTIONAL STUDENT EDUCATION
Berean Christian School provides ESE and intervention services for students with mild to moderate learning differences or who need extra support to meet grade level requirements. These students are expected to be able to perform successfully in the mainstream classroom for the remainder of the day.
K-4 Early Interventions
- $1,000 per subject area
This program is for students who currently have an exceptional learning diagnosis, as well as for students who do not have a diagnosis but need intervention services to meet grade level expectations for math and/or reading. This includes Wilson Tutoring for Reading, grades K-3. (Small groups, 2 days per week, 40-minute blocks, during school hours)
2-12 ESE Math
- $3750/year K-6 one subject
- $4,750/year K-6 two subjects
- $1,750/year 7-12 per subject area
This program provides a modified curriculum for students who currently have an exceptional learning diagnosis and need additional help with Math to meet grade level expectations. (5 days per week, pull out class for students with diagnosis)
2-12 ESE Reading/ELA
- $3,750/year K-6 one subject
- $4,750/year K-6 two subjects
- $1,750/year 7-12 per subject area

5-12 Learning Strategies
- $1,750/year
This program is for students who currently have an exceptional learning diagnosis, as well as for students who do not have a diagnosis but need intervention services to meet grade level expectation in Reading and/or Math.
K-12 Accommodations Only
- $200/year
This accommodation is for students who currently have an exceptional learning diagnosis and receive accommodations within the mainstream classroom.
K-12 Accommodations with Extended Time
- $500/year
This accommodation is for students who currently have an exceptional learning diagnosis and need additional accommodations within the classroom and need extended time on school provided assessments. Extended time may be provided before, during, or after school hours.
9-12 Extended Time Only on Standardized State Testing
- No charge
This accommodation is for students who currently have an exceptional learning diagnosis and need extended time only on College Board and ACT assessments. This does not provide extended time for school provided assessments.
